How to Add Text to Individual Clips on Reels Natively
The Instagram app offers a native way to add text to your Reel videos easily. Although you cannot add text to individual clips while creating them, you can time the text to make it show on the screen in the specific clip after you have made the full video.
Below is how to go about it:
Step 1
Open the Instagram app and go to your Reels tab. You can click the camera icon to record a fresh video, or view your gallery to create a reel using existing video footage.
Step 2
Then, tap on the Preview icon in the lower right corner to proceed to the editing screen, where you can add text to your reel.
Step 3
To add text in individual clips on Reel, first, tap the Aa icon in the top right corner of the screen, and then edit the style (or font and color) by tapping the icon at the top of the screen.

Step 4
Now, click on the box showing your text at the bottom of the screen. A movie reel will show up at the bottom, and to add the text in just one clip in your reels, simply move the edges of the reel to time the text and make it appears in the specific part you want in your reels video.
